2010 ISA Toyota Championship Girls

On behalf of the VSA Board of Directors, I would like to congratulate all the girls’ select teams that participated in the ISA Toyota Indoor Championship February 26-28, 2010. VSA had six teams compete with a collective positive goal differential of plus eleven and all teams competing in each game to the end. Of the 10 cumulative loses, 7 were by two goals or less. In fact, out of five divisions VSA is proud to recognize 2 champions and 1 semi-finalist; the U11 and U13 Elite won in thrilling fashion over Ames and CRSA, respectively and the U13 Premier team lost to the eventual champion. We realize that winning is not the lone ingredient to measuring success; however, we do want to highlight the abilities of our players and coaches and feel strongly that the select program is striving to achieve excellence on and off the pitch.

The board wishes to express our gratitude to all the coaches, parents, and players that worked so hard this past weekend to ensure the girls had a fun time playing quality soccer.

The board hopes this event will springboard the girls’ teams into an exciting spring season. We also wish the best of luck to the boys’ teams (link to schedule) who will be competing this coming weekend. Thank you!
