Youth Soccer

VSA of Waukee Recreational Soccer Program:
Recreational soccer is for anyone ages 4 years through 19 years old looking to learn the skills and nuances of the sport in a fun and socially stimulating environment whereby players who participate regularly, gain from the physical and psychological benefits of playing soccer.

We have teams starting at Under 6 through Under 19.

There are no tryouts for these teams, all ability levels are welcome!

All our teams are coached by volunteer coaches that generously give their time and talents for their child's team.

All of our teams are generally all girl or all boy (but called coed) teams, however girls are welcome to play on boy/coed teams.

Game Times/Days of the Week
U-6 games are generally between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays at the Vision Soccer Academy Complex in Waukee.  They have six games during the soccer season. Game times are dependent upon the number of teams participating each season.  

U-8 games are generally between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and occasionally on Thursday nights depending upon the number of teams participating each season.   Our U-8 Division will also play some games against Dallas Center/Grimes and Adel teams where they will be expected to travel to those clubs’ fields for away games.

U-10 girls' teams generally play on Saturday mornings.  They play teams in the Des Moines area and surrounding communities for away games.

U-10 boys' teams generally play on Saturday afternoons.   They play teams in the Des Moines area and surrounding communities for away games.

U-11 & above players generally play on Sunday afternoons starting at 1:00 p.m.  The Greater Des Moines Junior Soccer League assigns these match schedules and games are played against teams from in and around the Greater Des Moines area.
