Vision Soccer Academy Fall 2008 Online Registration

PLEASE READ the following registration options BEFORE trying to register, they will answer many of your questions!

If your child played with VSA in Fall 2007 and/or Spring 2008 you will be able to select "re-register" and will be able to make any needed changes to your information (address, phone, etc...).  Otherwise, register as a new player or new sibling.

Once you register your first child, you can use "New Sibling" to register the rest of your children with the club.

Click Here for the U.S. Youth Soccer Age Matrix to determine the right age group for your child.  For the Fall 2008 season you will use the 2008-2009 column.

We have many new online options for Fall 2008, the following is a description of each:

• Recreational - Recreational teams that are focused on growth and development and teach the fundamentals of soccer in a fun environment with volunteer coaches.  This is for players between the age ranges of August 1, 1989 through July 31, 2004 (players must turn 4 by this date to play in this league).  Most divisions will have 1-2 practices and one game a week.  See our FAQ page for more information.

There will be a $25 late fee added to all registrations received after June 20, 2008.

Recreational Registration Prices for Fall 2008
U06  -- $70
U08 and U10  --  $90
U12 and Up --  $95

The following divisions are OPEN:

U11/U12 Boys

U13/U14 Boys and Girls

All other divisions are closed and taking a wait list

If you'd like to have your player put on a wait list, email their name and date of birth to Kim at clubadministrator@visionsocceracademy.com

»U09 Academy - a new program created by the Iowa Soccer Association that is starting in the fall of 2008. The program is open to all true U09 players but it is intended specifically for the physically and/or technically advanced player that has a higher level of interest and commitment to the sport.

You will be able to register for the new U9 Academy by first selecting Recreational soccer.  For more information please see our U9 Academy page or contact the Academy Director at academydirector@visionsocceracademy.com.

• Grasskickers - Additional practice for 3-6 year olds taught by professional coaches.

• VSA Developmental Program - a supplementary training program conducted by experienced and qualified VSA coaching staff. It is not designed to replace a player’s Recreational practices or games but instead to compliment them. Any U07, U08 and U10 players with heightened interest in the sport should consider participating in VSA DP to help improve their skills through proper instruction and regular training.

• Tryouts - Registration for U11-U19 Select Tryouts. If you have already turned in a paper tryout form, no need to register online also.

• Select - Tryouts and a bid are required before registering for select soccer. Registration for Select Soccer will begin on June 16th. For players older than 10 (certain extraordinary conditions apply for players who are younger) that wish to be in a more structured environment with players of similar commitment levels, technical, and/or physical abilities.

• Adult - For players 16 years of age by June 9, 2008 that would like to play soccer with other adults.

Recreational Uniforms:

Recreational Registration Fees do NOT include a uniform.  All recreational players were required to purchase new uniforms for Fall 2007. The U6 through U10 jersey is the same forest and white reversible jersey with logos on both sides. U10 players will be able to request number customization on both sides of the jersey. U12 and up players use two uniform shirts; one jersey in forest with logo and number customization; one white t-shirt with logo and number customization. Please call Soccer Connections at 270-8141 by July 15, 2008 to order uniforms for this season. All recreational players will also need to purchase black soccer shorts and socks. Order early to have by season start!! PLAYERS MUST WEAR SHIN GUARDS FOR PRACTICES AND GAMES.

Birth Certificates

A copy of the player's birth certificate is required for all NEW players to VSA.

IF your child has played with the soccer club before, but not in Fall 2007 or Spring 2008, you had to register as a new player, but you DO NOT need to provide another one (even though the confirmation letter will tell you that you do).  We have records of everyone who has played with the club for the last 4 years, you will not need to provide another birth certificate for your child.

If your child has NOT played with the club you will need to provide the birth certificate before we can put your child on a team.

Once you register, on your confirmation sheet in the- Documents You Must Provide- it might say that you need to turn in a birth certificate.   Once we can confirm from our old databases that your child has played with the club before OR we receive the needed certificate (if your child has not played with us), we will check-off that you have provided that document.

Family Max Information:

Due to our registration system, you register and pay for each child individually, so we cannot calculate and charge a Family Max of $200.

If you have registered 3 or more of your children with the Vision Soccer Academy of Waukee and would qualify for the Family Max of $200 (Recreational and Select registration fees only. U9 Academy players can apply $90 and Select players can apply $50 towards the family max), please email Kim at clubadministrator@visionsocceracademy.com.  She will confirm your status and request a Family Max Refund from our treasurer for you.

The Family Max does not apply to registrations completed after June 20, 2008.

Please see our FAQ page for more answers to your questions.
