Welcome to the Fall '08 Soccer Season! Season NOTES!
1) Our club has adopted a NO PET POLICY at the soccer complex. Please do not bring your pets to the fields. We're not against animals....just against stepping in the messes. If you bring your pet, you will be asked to leave the complex. Thanks for understanding.
2) KEEP YOUR CHILDREN OUT OF THE FIELDS AND OFF OF THE GOALS. Both are dangers that each of us need to be aware of. The farmer we rent from works very hard to maintain his crops....kids are going out taking ears of corn, running through the fileds, etc. and that is simply not acceptable. PLEASE keep your children out of the fields. Also, the goals are VERY HEAVY and if a child is climbing on them they can and do tip. They are anchored down but accidents happen.
3) PARKING. As always, no parking on the road and only in designated parking areas. We have clearly marked the parking lot this year and that should help with any confusion.
4) Weather delays. The weather at your home can and will be different than at the complex. Please dress your child accordingly and always attend the games even in the rain. A play or no play decision will be made by 7:30 a.m. on weekends and 4 p.m. on weekdays when the weather is bad. The website and phone message line will be updated accordingly. OUR CLUB DOES NOT CLOSE THE COMPLEX FOR RAIN OR SNOW. We only close for flooding or lightening. If you are playing an away game, check that club's website for information about their fields before heading out.
5) Severe Weather Air Horn. If you are at the complex and hear the air horn, this is a warning of severe weather in the area. If you have a referee, he/she will suspend the game - LISTEN TO HIM/HER!! You should take your children and go to your cars as quickly and orderly as possible. In the case of lightning/thunder, you will need to wait 30 minutes from the last thunder to resume the game. Due to the high number of games at the complex on any day, finishing the game may not be possible and the game will need to be rescheduled for a later date.
Good luck to all of our players, coaches and parents. HAVE A WONDERFUL SEASON!
