Essentials Camp
The Essentials Soccer Camp is designed to help both field players and goalkeepers refresh the fundamental components of the game before the fall season begins.
Throughout the week, professional staff will guide players through structured activities that focus on key technical skills such as ball control, passing & receiving, dribbling, and finishing.
Each session begins with technical instruction and skill development, followed by game-based activities where players apply those techniques in realistic soccer situations.
The final day of camp features a small-sided games/scrimmages where players compete in fun, fast-paced games designed to reinforce the technical concepts learned during the week.
Note: While registration reflects current age groupings, final camp cohort placements may be adjusted after registration to align with updated age bracket guidelines.

Back-to-School Kickoff Camp
VSA will be hosting a week-long soccer camp before the start of fall season.
Throughout the week, campers will:
- Sharpen ball control, passing, shooting, and defensive skills
- Improve speed, agility, and coordination
- Learn tactical awareness in fun, game-based scenarios
- Build leadership, resilience, and teamwork
- Compete in exciting small-sided matches and end-of-week tournaments
Our experienced coaching staff creates a positive, structured environment where players are challenged, supported, and celebrated. We keep coach-to-player ratios low to ensure personalized instruction and meaningful feedback for every child. Theme days for each day of camp.
AGES:
6-12 Years old

Monday August 17th- Friday August 21st
Location:
VSA Timberline, 2655 SE LA Grant Pkwy, Waukee, IA 50263
TIME:
7:30AM-4PM
This camp offers the opportunity to spend the day with VSA staff coaches where skill development meets confidence-building, teamwork, and pure love for the game.
DAILY:
$60 (Will have the option to purchase a T-shirt for an additional $10.)
Weekly:
$275 (T-shirt will be included in registration for full week).
Please ensure that your child comes prepared each day with the following items:
- A lunch and snacks
- A labeled water bottle
- Soccer cleats
- Tennis shoes (to be worn in the gym in case of rain)
- Their own soccer ball
- Sunscreen (we recommend spray sunscreen, staff will NOT assist with lotion sun screen).
- Extra set of clothes in case of an accident
- All items should be packed and clearly labeled with your child’s name.

Player Factory
Small Group/Individual Training
Customized training with one of VSA's Professional coaches with a small player to instructor ratio. Training can be on a wide variety of topics including but not limited to individual dribbling, passing and receiving, goal keeping and shooting and finishing. Training sessions range from 30-60 minutes in length which includes a 2 minute consultation.
Purpose:
- Offer an environment conducive to individual technical improvement areas
- Give an opportunity to offer “more” to players in a controlled environment
- Tailor training to players’ specific needs of development
Philosophy:
- Every player will be taken into the program that wants to participate U9 to U19
- Coaches should not train players that they already coach in a team environment
- This program will be offered during the off-season
